Lip liners are often overlooked in our kits. A lot of us tend to forgo buying them because they don’t really seem that useful. These pencils are used to define our lips. They make the lipstick last longer and make the color pop. You can deepen, lighten, and brighten your lipstick using your lip liner. Read more

Here’s a basic eye look that you can do in under 5 minutes for days you just don’t have the time to sit in front of your makeup mirror.
My go-to product when I’m in a hurry but still need to look like I’ve taken time to do my face is loose pigments. This stuff really packs a punch so a little goes a long way.
For this look, I’m using a very neutral colored pigment that accentuates the natural color of the eyelid. It will brighten up the eye area and give it a bit of shine and sparkle. These pigments are perfect to use during the day.
MAC Pigment in Tan and Barry M Dazzle Dust in 39 are two of my favorites because they’re neutral enough to wear during the day and shiny enough to transition to night.
Let’s begin. Using a large eyeshadow blending brush, sweep a neutral brown color on the crease of your eye. Blend it well using the famous windshield wiper motion. Make sure to use an eyeshadow with a matte or satin finish to add more definition to the eye. The pigments will already add a lot of shine later on.
I’m using Lorac Matte eyeshadow in sepia.
Now to apply your pigments. Use an eyeshadow brush with stiff bristles or your ring finger to do this. Also, make sure to tap the brush to get rid of the extra product before applying. Loose pigments can be very messy so you don’t want to get it all over the place. It’s hard to clean up and once the product settles onto your cheeks, you’ll need to remove your foundation/concealer and reapply.
Press the pigment onto your lid. Do not use sweeping motions because this will cause more product fall-out. Don’t forget to blend!
Line your lower waterline with a neutral colored pencil. This step is optional but I love filling in the waterline because I feel it gives more definition to the eye.
I’m suing MAC Powerpoint Pencil in Bountiful Brown. It’s a brownish golden color.
Take a small brush and seep the same eyeshadow you used for your contour under the eye.
Line your eye with your favorite eyeliner.
I’m using a dark brown gel liner for this look but a black one would be good for a more dramatic effect.
The last step is to curl your lashes & apply mascara!
I love subtle tones like earthy browns and warm golds. Having said that, there are ways of incorporating color into your everyday makeup that will make your look a bit more interesting and playful. The key is to use it as an accent! Read more
Whether you like your brows heavily filled out or natural looking, shaping them properly is essential. Eyebrows frame the face and give us our facial expressions. Dark and thin brows make us look older while thicker more natural brows give a youthful appearance. However you prefer them, they have to be well groomed and shaped correctly. Read more
