“Makeup doesn’t have to be complicated”
Yciar is an independent makeup artist whose passion for her craft dates back to the day she was old enough to wear lipstick. In 2007, she took a course at the Center for Aesthetic Studies, where she honed her skills and validated her long-standing love affair with cosmetics. This was soon followed by an eye-opening stint with MAC Cosmetics, where she served as counter manager at the Shangri-La store. She then apprenticed with one of the country’s leading makeup artists, Jigs Mayuga for two years, assisting him in magazine, billboard, and advertising shoots. The last four years, she was a MAC Affiliate Artist working on MAC-sponsored events and shoots. She is now busy with an assortment of freelance projects throughout the country.
